How it works

CSIDE1

If you have hepatitis C or B and wish to take Chinese herbs these are some of the parameters of how it works.

First you must realize that if you have physical symptoms, such as a dark face or bleeding disorder you should be seen by both a Chinese doctor and a Western Medical Doctor. These are very serious conditions and either going to the local health food store or buying herbs over the internet from me or anyone else is not really health care, it is denial on everyone's part.

I make this web-site for those people who like many with Hep C, have no physical symptoms including fatigue and nausea. These conditions require special consultations.

So: the protocol is to take 10-15 gelatin capsules a day of a mixture of about a dozen herbs. The herbs on their own will cost around $100 a month. There is no w

ay around this cost. It's a little above wholesale costs. I use a well-respected Taiwan manufacturer who also has a plant in Southern California.

This is a substantial amount of herb (and money) but I am afraid at any less a dosage you will be wasting your money and losing any health benefits.

You will take these herbs for months to see any change in liver enzymes or viral load if any at all. You might be taking these herbs for years. Hepatitis does not go away on its own (usually). You may or may not see any change in these laboratory tests. See my article concerning this.

What I have patients do is take slightly different formulas each month. Some herbs are constant and some anti-virals are rotated so that the body won't build up a resistance.

Many people have the question, "If the lab tests don't change how will I know I'm getting better?" The truth is I can only answer, "You won't. You will have to trust that these herbs will help you." You can look for research on the Web. And I think along with Milk Thistle, using Chinese Herbs has the most proven record of all the so-called alternative therapies out there.
